Relationships January, 2003
Last month I wrote about being "Solutions-oriented". We should be constantly examining our way of doing things and finding new solutions to old problems. The "Quick and Easy Kaizen" approach is a method in which you can practice finding new solutions.
This month I am to write about the "values individual relationships" portion of our mission statement. I am not sure how much more I can say than the actions you exhibited just after Christmas. Deb Justus' boy friend, who has his sister with a baby and his daughter in the household, lost everything to a fire on Christmas Eve. You came to the rescue. The day after Christmas you created a collection fund for Deb's boyfriend and family, a family that none of you have ever met. You contributed clothes, house things and money after each of you had probably spent more than you should on your own Christmas. It is this heart that makes Silicon Forest Electronics. It is a company that can not be duplicated anywhere. You can not understand how proud it makes me to see this kind of giving of yourselves. It is much more than a cold piece of a corporate mission statement; you live it.
WE CARE goes way beyond just a company quality statement. WE do CARE about each other, those around us, our customers and our community. Praise to God for your caring values.
